Ava loves vibrators and cupcakes as much as the next person, she’d just rather play with them than sell them. With her shopping addiction reaching an all time high and her credit card bills piling up, Ava decides to put her obsession to good use and start a fashion blog. But she has one other problem - the guy she’s having sex with has a My Little Pony addiction.
While dealing with her family’s disappointment and confusion over her choices, she finds support in the unlikeliest of places – Tyler Branson. Tyler has slowly wormed his way into her bed, her a$ and her heart and he refuses to leave. Tyler has his own family problems to deal with and for the first time ever, Ava finds herself feeling bad for the annoying, immature guy and chanting “Friendship is magic!” during the sex she’d swore to stop having with him.
Ava needs to get her life in order once and for all before she finds herself doing something she never wanted to do – fall in love with a Brony.

It was easier for me to follow Passion and Ponies. We don't get to know the young Ava very well so she's considered a new character. I found it hard to relate to Gavin when I read Love and Lists since when we first meet him he's toddler. But I loved it all the same.
This one, however, was easier to comprehend. Both Tyler and Ava are considered new characters in my eyes so it felt as if I was enjoying any other New Adult Romance.
If you've not read the Chocolate Lovers series, I urge you to do so. And start with Seductions & Snacks. It's crazy funny and will have you laughing along with each page. It's one of my favorite series to date and I've re-read it over and over again.
Passion and Ponies is no different. I freaking loved every second of it. I was so hooked it took one sitting and 3 hours to get through it. I refused to put it down... not even for a second.
As usual, brilliantly written and pure Tara Sivec.
Ava is 21 and finds herself not at all interested in the family business. She find herself drawn to fashion far more than she'll ever be drawn to office work. For Ava, this book is about finding herself and learning to accept the little things (ie. Tyler) that she can't change but finds herself confusingly drawn to.
Now if you've ever read Troubles and Treats, you discover (when you read this) that Tyler is almost exactly like Drew. And I adore that! I've always loved Drews character and the stuff that comes out of his mouth is brilliant. Tyler's much the same... in fact, he could even be funnier. I had an awesome time!
There's a lot of backstory but you could read this as a stand-alone. You might not get it right away, but Tara Sivec does help you understand things from the past without going into long, drawn-out detail <- Which I absolutely loved! But my suggestion would be to read Love and Lists at the very least before going into this one. It will help you a little, but like I said, it's not a must. To get the entire gang you'll have to start with the Chocolate Lovers series and believe me when I say that that's NOT a bad thing :)
You'll loved it and you'll easily understand all my crazy Tara Sivec obsession.
