Temporary. That one single word best describes my life these last few years. I’m working at a temporary job until I can finally break free. I’m my little brother’s temporary mother since our mom doesn’t give a crap about either of us. And I’m that temporary girl all the guys want to get with because I give it up so easily. According to the rumors, at least.

But now I’m the temporary girlfriend of Drew Callahan, college football legend and all around golden guy. He’s beautiful, sweet—and he’s hiding way more secrets than I am. He’s brought me into this fake life where everyone seems to hate me. And everyone seems to want something from him. The only thing he seems to want though is…

Me.

I don’t know what to believe anymore. All I know is, I think Drew needs me. And I want to be there for him.

Forever.

I've been eying this book for a while now and finally got around to getting my hands on it. I'm ever so sorry I didn't read this sooner because it was exactly what I was looking for.

A rather unique storyline, One Week Girlfriend, is about hot and rich, with a messed up past, college boy Drew and sexy, strong willed and slutty (it doesn't matter how much you try to sugar coat her reasons, she is a slut) Fable.

In short, because of reasons which stem from a really crazy messed up past, Drew needs someone to take home for Thanksgiving break. His choice is Fable. Why? Because he's heard she needs the money and of course since she's a slut (even if only half the rumor's are true) - he figures she wont deny the opportunity to make some cash and she wouldn't care to pretend to be his girlfriend for a week.

Temporary. That one single word best describes my life these last few years. I’m working at a temporary job until I can finally break free. I’m my little brother’s temporary mother since our mom doesn’t give a crap about either of us. And I’m that temporary girl all the guys want to get with because I give it up so easily.

Take note, that even though I keep referring to Fable as sluttish, it doesn't mean I don't like her. I really do. It was just strange to read about someone referred to as a slut and turns out she actually is. Although her reasons for sleeping around is to get, even if it's just for a moment, a sense of closeness and in those moments she feels as if someone actually cares for her... whatever... I did laugh when she said that only half of the rumor are actually true lol... anyway...
So Drew approaches Fable pretty early in the book and of course, she agrees to pretend to be his GF for a week. The money is good - I guess lol...

So off they go to Drew's hometown and the performance begins.

While they spend time together, they get to know each other better and a relationship of sorts begins to develop. I won't go into it much more, since I don't want to spoil it for those of you who still want to read it.

Why I really loved this book? Because even though you can sense pretty early on what secrets Drew is keeping, you ain't seen nothing yet! It just gets crazier the more his past is revealed.

Made me sit up and go What...WTF? Believe me, you can't make this stuff up even if you wanted to. It's like an episode of Jerry Springer!

“Why did you choose me to be your pretend girlfriend? I know I’m not the ideal choice. Let’s be real here.” She must be a mind reader. “I knew you wouldn’t give me a lot of trouble.” “What do you mean?” I’m going to fuck this up, I can feel it in my bones. “Any other girl wouldn’t want to just pretend to be my girlfriend. She would really want to be in a relationship with me, you know? And I knew you wouldn’t.” “How? You don’t know me.” “I’ve seen you at La Salle’s.” Weak reasoning. “Big deal. Lots of guys come into La Salle’s. Lots of guys you play football and hang out with go there all the time. I’ve hooked up with a few of them.”

I really enjoyed the easy flow of this book. I loved that everything revolved around moving the story along. No pages were wasted with mundane information. I loved how even though this is a full length novel, it moves along pretty quickly, keeping you entertained right until the end.

The End? That's were I nearly lost it. I don't mind cliff hangers - sometimes - but I don't like emotional cliff hangers. I don't mind if they with you going What? But I hate it when they end with you going No!

BUT... apparently the second part will be released April 9th - which isn't too bad, but you really want the second book immediately after you finish this one. If you are impatient and really can't wait the 14 or so days until the second part, then HOLD OFF until you have it! You will thank me for this bit of advice. But whatever you do... add to to your TBR list and READ IT! :D
