His touch spirals through me, warm and sweet, wicked and hot. I shouldn’t trust him. I shouldn’t tell him my secrets. But how do I not when he is the reason I breathe? He is what I need.
At the young age of eighteen, tragedy and a dark secret force Lara to flee all she has known and loves to start a new life. Now years later, with a new identity as Amy, she’s finally dared to believe she is forgotten–even if she cannot forget. But just when she lets down her guard, the ghosts of her past are quick to punish her, forcing her back on the run.
On a plane, struggling to face the devastation of losing everything again and starting over, Amy meets Liam Stone, a darkly entrancing recluse billionaire, who is also a brilliant, and famous, prodigy architect. A man who knows what he wants and goes after it. And what he wants is Amy. Refusing to take “no” as an answer, he sweeps her into a passionate affair, pushing her to her erotic limits. He wants to possess her. He makes her want to be possessed. Liam demands everything from her, accepting nothing less. But what if she is too devastated by tragedy to know when he wants more than she should give? And what if there is more to Liam than meets the eyes?

There are two things I need to make mention of before I get into this review. The first would be that I admit, it took me a few pages to really get into the story. I was so close to throwing in the towel because I needed something that would draw me in and until about 15% of the way through Escaping Reality, it wasn't doing what I needed it to do.
The second point I'd like to make is that this book should come with a warning label. I'd like to suggest something like this:
"WARNING! Addictive as Crack! Proceed with caution!"
Lol, not that I would really know, but I'm guessing it's an extreme addiction and to me Escaping Reality was like a drug :)
So keep those two facts in mind when you read Escaping Reality.
Amy is all alone. She has no one who she considers 'close' to her. She has no roots, no real home and nobody to care about whether she's alive the one day and dead the next. The reasons for this do come to light but only fully so near the end of the book. However, I didn't feel as if Author Lisa Renee Jones was taunting me by withholding that information. It was like a 5000 piece puzzle, you received little by little and then when you eventually stand back you realize that everything seems to start making a clear picture. This was done perfectly. The plot wasn't put on hold for Amy's life story to be explained. I liked that. It was a different approach to revealing the 'whys' and 'hows' that make up Amy's way of life and her personality.
Liam is dominant, strong, sexy and of course a hotty billionaire. #Yum
I haven't come across two characters who are so perfectly well suited for each other in a long time. Of course now... that I've completed the book... I could probably kill him, but during the book and before the almighty reveal, I loved him to bits. And does it make me a horrible person to admit that I secretly still love him? In this case I'm going to have to hold onto my faith that love conquers all and there must just be some misunderstanding. Surely that's the case right?
But yet... there is a 3rd equally sexy guy in the picture and now that I think of it, I'm really hoping that he just stays put where he is and doesn't come in to ruin all my fantasy's of Liam & Amy. Argh! I really hate not knowing where all of this is going...
Escaping Reality ends on a cliffer. And it's like acid - it's eating away at me to know what happens next. But alas, we will have to wait it out. Infinite Possibilities (The Secret Life of Amy Bensen #2) is available in October and honestly, from an obsessed romance reader to another - wait for the release of book #2 before you read this because my life would be so much different right now if I could have immediately started the second book. But whatever you do, buy it before you forget to add it to your reading list and if the temptation is to much and you simply have to read it... Then Enjoy :)
