Having always disliked shifter politics, Trey Coleman hadn’t bothered trying to form alliances with other packs. Now that his uncle – a wolf with many alliances – means to take Trey’s territory and his pack, he has no option but to form some alliances of his own very quickly or he’ll be easily outnumbered in the upcoming battle. He figures that the easiest way to do that would be to mate with a female who’s Alpha is powerful and influential. There’s only one problem with that – he would then be stuck with her, and the last thing Trey wants is a mate. When he hears of Taryn’s situation, he offers her a deal – if she falsely claims he’s her true mate and allows him to claim her, he’ll save her from her arranged mating and then let her leave after the battle with his uncle is over.
Sounds like a pretty straightforward deal...but soon Taryn and Trey realize they got more than they bargained for. Their mating instincts to protect and possess are weighing on them, they crave each other’s touch and company, and their inner wolves don’t like it whenever they’re apart. Add in that they’ll have to deal with this for an entire three months until the day of the battle finally arrives, and they’ve got themselves a recipe for disaster – or maybe for something quite the opposite.
Warning: This novel contains an extremely sarcastic Alpha female, a broody possessive Alpha male, bitter in-laws, voyeuristic enforcers, a whole lot of dirty talk, and steamy bedroom battles for dominance. Reader Advisory: This book also contains a graphic ménage scene - not for the faint-hearted.

So even though I did enjoy Feral Sins...Sadly There were a few things that made me want to gnaw my arm off. One... I didn't think Taryn was all quirky and hilarious with her sarcastic personality. Yes, it was fun for a while, but FFS... there comes a point where the fact that she can't string together one sentence without being over-the-top sarcastic really started to piss me the hell off. There was a point at about a third through the book that I nearly just gave up. I couldn't stand her anymore. Every sarcastic response ever written was in this book and it all came from Taryn's mouth -> Cheezess! It was annoying as all crap!
Secondly there was a scene in this book that should not have been there. It REALLY should not have been placed in this 'protective, possessive, alpha wolf falls in love with a sexy female, he can't keep his hands off her, he pisses in his pants if someone touches her' kind of book. It was just not right. I didn't like it one bit and that's the reason I didn't make this a 5 star read. I'm going to tell you what happens so just a head's up -> if you don't want to read a spoiler, skip over this part!
[ Spoiler ] So Trey is the ultimate Alpha Male / Wolf. Passionate about Taryn, protective of her and through most of the book he freaks if someone even looks at her... Loved That! But helloooo... then... one night he allows his 'brothers' (a.k.a Wolf Pack) to come into their bedroom and participate in a sexual like six-sm. WTF! I don't get it and it was so uncomfortable I frowned the entire time. I don't know how someone who loves another, worships them and then allows not only one other man, but something like 4 other men to do all kinds of sexual acts to her while he watches. No! It was kind of sick. I didn't like it and it was the major factor that turned me off of this book. [ End of Spoiler ]
It's kind of sad, because everything (minus Taryn's sarcastic attitude) was great. The plot was awesome, the writing really well written but then to have a spanner thrown into the works and all it really does is just F&%k up the entire book for me. The really strange part is that I could have accepted it if it had happened early on in the book... before the whole full bonding between Trey and Taryn had taken place... but it happened near the end... after they bonded and were 'true mates'... It was actually disgusting for me. And that's saying a lot since I don't really mind crude or crazy. I've read many books that involve multiple sex partners and I don't mind it. I don't know what it says about me, but it can even be kind of sexy... But not when it's a book about soul mates and not when they've already realized that they are. Beforehand, yes, after, no... a true alpha male does not share his female. EVER! Especially when prior to that he had issues with the attention she received from other males and he'd get possessive and jealous when she would laugh and chat to another man... It's just freaking ugly that it turned out the way it did.
Then... the following day it doesn't get mentioned, it's as if nothing happened and she also wakes up to find out she's pregnant and the baby was conceived during the sex-capade and no one thinks this is f%$king weird? Or just Gross?
I don't know what the hell happened, but that part should just not be in this book. There is enough sexy and hot to keep your temperature at boiling point. I didn't need next level shit!
Basically in this book, Taryn & Trey agree to pose as Wolf mates. Taryn agrees because she wants a way out of the situation her father has placed her in... Trey wants it because he's hoping that Taryn's father will become an ally of his if his daughter mates with Trey.
So they mate. They are both aware it's 'fake' but they don't see nor do they expect it to become more -> which it does and it's lovely.... they bond for real and it's really a great book with exciting turns... that is, until Trey forces Taryn to open her mouth for another mans (x3) private parts!
Argh! Disappointing moment for me and I can't get over it.
Feral Sins has it all. Everything you need in an Alpha Male book. It's perfect before and after... the one incident. I would have added Trey into my top alpha list, but I just can't anymore. He let me down and I really don't like him much anymore.
